Back in 1995 when 486s were the rage, freelance technicians a rarity and the Internet was teething, Med-way entered the local computing scene; wholesaling a handful of different computer hardware components. Marketing consisted of faxing a price list to about two dozen potential clients.

Today the range of products stocked, or available within a few days, has reached over 400, and practically any computer-related product can be sourced and imported within two or three weeks. Over 2400 people voluntarily receive a regular email with information on the range of products and information on price changes.

The bulk of the products listed in our 'store' are imported directly from foreign suppliers. This gives us an undeniable responsability for what we sell and how we deal with faults. Literally all the internal computer parts arrive by express courier every weekend, according to orders and general demand. Physically larger, or heavy, low value items like cases and cables are imported approximately once a month by normal freight.

We have purposely avoided representing any of the major internationally renowned system brands. With operating systems becoming steadily more reliable we feel that our customers are rarely in a position where they feel that they have compromised reliability for a lower price. We do our best to provide computer hardware and systems suitably tuned for clearly defined functions.

As a result, unlike most local suppliers in the industry, we do not obsess about 'our' brands. We're concerned primarily with providing the hardware customers want. Although we have a comprehensive list of products, these are not meant to be understood as our 'offerings'. Nor do we necessarily believe that they're the best on the market. Listed products are items that we believe have a good price:quality balance. Our regular suppliers list serveral thousand items, and, if they don't list whatever YOU believe you need, we can procure whatever is available in the US or the UK within a very reasonable period of time.
